What should I do? - Čo by som mal robiť?
I don´t feel very well.
(Necítim sa veľmi dobre.)
Použitím slovesa should dávame radu:
You should go and see your GP*.
(Mal by si ísť k lekárovi.)
You should go to the chemist´s**. (Mal by si ísť do lekárne.)
You should stay in bed for a day or two. (Mal by si zostať v posteli deň alebo dva.)
You should go an lie down for a while. (Mal by si si na chvíľu ľahnúť.)
*GP je skratka pre General Practitioner, to je vlastne klasický obvodný lekár, ku ktorému chodíme, keď sa necítime dobre.
**Chemist´s je v preklade lekáreň, ale dostanete tam kúpiť aj tovar z drogérie.
Situačný dialóg u lekára:
Patient: Good morning. I don´t feel very well.
GP: Good morning. What´s the problem?
P: I´ve got a cold, a sore throat and my body hurts.
GP: Do you have high temperature?
P: Yes, I do.
GP: It´s flu. I give you prescription. Take these pills three times a day, lie in bed for 5 days and drink plenty of liquids. Come and see me in 5 days.
P: Thank you. Goodbye.
GP: Goodbye.
