over – cez (ponad)
He went over the bridge. (Išiel cez most.)
There is a bridge over the river.
(Je tu most ponad rieku.)
The plane flew over the mountains.
(Lietadlo letelo ponad hory.)
Go over the bridge. (Choď cez most.)
through - cez (niečo uzavreté)
The bird flew into the room through the window.
(Vták priletel do izby cez okno.)
Go through the tunnel.
(Choď cez tunel.)
We are going through the forest.
(Ideme cez les.)
across - cez (plochu)
We went across the street.
(Prešli sme cez cestu.)
The dog swam across the river.
(Pes preplával cez rieku.)
Zhrnutie: cez over ponad over the bridge through uzavreté through tunnel across plochu across the street
towards – k (u), smerom k niečomu
John is walking towards the sun.
(John kráča smerom k slnku.)
Move towards the church. (Pohnite sa smerom ku kostolu.)
Go towards that table. (Choď smerom k tamtomu stolu.)
away from – preč od
Jane is running away from the fire.
(Jane uteká preč od ohňa.)
Go away from me. (Choď odo mňa preč.)
