Paris is the capital of France. (Francúzsko má len jedno hlavné mesto)

We looked up at all the stars in the sky.

space sa používa bez člena, keď myslíme vesmír
the space – miesto
There are millions of stars in space.
I tried to park my car, but the space was too small.
4. the používame so slovom same (rovnaký)

5. the zvyčajne používame so cinema a theatre
I go to the cinema a lot, but I haven´t been to the theatre for ages.

1. s názvami jedál (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

We had lunch in a very nice restaurant.

ALE používame neurčitý člen a pokiaľ použijeme prídavné meno s jedlom, teda ho opisujeme
We had a very nice lunch.
2. pred podstatnými menami s číslovkou
Our train leaves from Platform 5.
Have you got these shoes in size 43?
