Tolerance In this essay I would like to explain the importance of tolerance nowadays. I’ll start with a question. What is tolerance? Tolerance is a part of everyday life. It is, in my opinion one of the most important elements in one's life. If there was no tolerance our society simply would not be able to function. The simplest example of how tolerance makes our society going is, waiting in a cue. Try to imagine that there was no tolerance. People would not tolerate that the others came first and they would try to push forward in a cue. But it would offence everyone and there would be fight. No one would buy anything because they would be too busy with fighting. All the shops would become bankrupt and many people would loose jobs. There would be nowhere to go for shopping. This would not happen only in shops but also in factories…etc. The importance of tolerance is unspeakable. Although the tolerance is very important a few individuals do not respect it. People have to know what to tolerate and what not to tolerate. If we tolerated everything we would also have to tolerate people who don’t tolerate anything. But that is not right. There are many racist all over the world. Maybe you are asking a question “What does racist and world’s economy has got in common?” The answer is simple. If we don’t stop tolerance ignorants before they could do anything they will spread and it would have indescribable effect on our society. It took us couple of thousands years to invent tolerance, so we should not let those individuals to spread intolerance and destroy our society. Racism and discrimination are together the worst and the most common form of intolerance. We should stop it until it is too late. The future of our society depends on our effort.
