Christmas is Britain's most popular holiday and feature tradition that has been dated back hundreds of years.
Christmas Day sees the opening of presents and many families attend Christmas services at church. Christmas dinner consists traditionally of a roast turkey, goose or chicken with stuffing and roast potatoes. This is followed by mince pies and Christmas puding flaming with brandy, which might contain coins or lucky charms for children.

Slovak Christmas is one of the most important features in Slovakia. We do fast the whole day, and in the evening at 6 o´clock we have a special dinner, what contains of sauerkraut soup, sometimes with dried mushrooms, then we serve fried fish and potato salad with mayonnaise and pease-pudding. We hide some money below tablecloth and we believe, we will be rich, healthy and happy. After the Christmas dinner we go to the living room, where is placed decorated Christmas tree, and under the Christmas tree are presents and gifts. The Christmas Eve finishes with Midnight church service.
