Family history – história rodiny


My parents got married 25 years ago. (Moji rodičia sa zobrali pred 25 rokmi.)

I was born on 15th October 1993. (Narodil som sa 15. 10. 1993.)

I have got a sister. Her name is Lucy. (Mám sestru. Volá sa Lucy.)

There are five of us in my family. (Je nás päť v mojej rodine.)

My sister´s got a boyfriend and they live in a small flat. (Moja sestra má priateľa a bývajú v malom byte.)

My brother and I still live with our mum and dad. (Môj brat a ja stále bývame s mamou a otcom.)

We spend a lot of time together. (Trávime spolu veľa času.)

I am older than my brother. (Som starší ako môj brat.)

She is younger than her sister. (Ona je mladšia ako jej sestra.)

John is the the oldest in the family. (John je najstarší z rodiny.)

Karen is the youngest in the family. (Karen je najmladšia v rodine.)


If you do not have a partner, you are single. (Ak nemáš partnera, si slobodný/á.)

If you have a husband or wife, you are married. (Ak máš manžela alebo manželku, si ženatý/vydatá.)

If your husband or wife dies, you are widowed. (Ak tvoj manžel alebo manželka zomrie, si ovdovený/á.)

If your marriage breaks up, you are divorced/separated. (Ak sa tvoje manželstvo rozpadne si rozvedený/žiješ oddelene.)
